Hotel Update 

Civic Hotel, Autograph Collection is excited to welcome back our valued guests and local community. Following guidance from local health authorities and the Marriott Cleanliness Council, we have taken to the time to craft new protocols to increase the cleanliness of our hotel and ensure the safety of our guests and associates. 

Civic Hotel’s Commitment to Safety and Cleanliness

Top-grade disinfectant & more frequent cleaning

Civic Hotel has a heightened cleaning and sanitizing process, including using Marriott-approved, hospital-grade disinfectant cleaners with special attention given to high touch surfaces. We are also testing new cleaning technologies, including electrostatic sprayers and ultraviolet lights, to enhance sanitization procedures. Disinfecting wipes will be provided in all guest rooms for guest use. 

New housekeeping rules to reduce exposure and touchpoints

Housekeeping services are available by request and will be scheduled in advance. As recommended by local health authorities, cleaning of guest rooms will be done when guests are not in the room. Requests for services or additional in-room amenities can be made by calling Guest Experiences on your guest room phone or via Mobile Chat on the Marriott Bonvoy™ app.

Improved safety in the hotel lobby and public areas

Masks or facial coverings are required in the hotel lobby and all of our public areas. Plexiglass barriers have been added to the concierge and front desks to ensure the safety of guests and our associates with frequent cleaning between guests. Hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the hotel. To encourage physical distancing, we temporarily have a limited number of seats in the lobby and business centre as well as a limit of two guests per elevator unless from the same household.

New Protocols For Hotel Amenities 

Touchless hotel guest experience technology 

Enjoy our mobile check-in, express check-out, chat, and mobile key available for Elite members with the Marriott Bonvoy app. We will not be offering valet parking at this time and our team will ensure contactless luggage assistance. 

Updated food & beverage services

Civic Hotel offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with Dominion on Demand served to your hotel room. Each guest will receive a digital PDF of the menu to promote a touchless experience. Our signature restaurant, Dominion Bar + Kitchen, has reduced seating, new safety protocols, and is open daily. Prado Cafe is open daily. All hotel vending machines with snacks and cold beverages will have an increased frequency of cleaning and sanitization. 

New meetings and events procedures 

Civic Hotel has new protocols to ensure the safety of all upcoming events. We offer signage to encourage physical distancing, our team can create floor plans to ensure adequate spacing, and hand sanitizer is available for guests. Civic Hotel’s food and beverage catering packages have been modified to individually packaged options with no shared serving utensils or beverage containers. Our innovative technology features audiovisual solutions for live-streaming to remote audiences.    

Fitness centre & pool updates 

The outdoor pool and whirlpool hot tub are open following enhanced protocols and can be booked by appointment only with an existing reservation. Be sure to contact guest experiences up to 7 days in advance. The fitness centre is closed until further notice. We are following guidance from local health authorities and the Marriott Cleanliness Council for ways to ensure physical distancing, safety measures, and minimal touch-points with other guests.

Ensuring the safety of our Civic Hotel team

Plexiglass barriers have been added to the concierge and front desks to ensure the safety of guests and our associates with frequent cleaning between guests. We have implemented wellness checks for all of our employees before they start work, increased cleaning and sanitation in staff areas, and provided personal protective equipment, such as masks and gloves, to our team.
