Half the Drive and Twice the Fun!

Heading to downtown Vancouver for a sporting event, concert or night out with some friends, or looking to indulge in a staycation? Launch your evening or weekend from a modern and luxurious room at Surrey City Centre’s brand new Civic Hotel, Autograph Collection®. It’s a great way to avoid the heavy traffic, crowds and those steep Vancouver prices. And for those driving in from areas within the Fraser Valley, the Civic’s location at the exact geographical centre of the region means you’ll have half the drive and twice the fun.

Start your adventure by checking in to one of our light-filled, studio-like rooms. The jaw-dropping views from the floor-to-ceiling windows are the first thing you’ll notice. After getting yourself organized and your things laid out on the beautiful new bathroom countertop, you’ll be ready to experience some in-room entertainment and custom artwork. If you can’t decide what to wear, there’s time to pick up something new at the nearby City Centre Shopping Centre.

Next stop is your planned event. Hop on the Skytrain (elevated rail line) at Surrey Central Station, conveniently situated right next to the Civic. Enjoy the incredibly scenic views of the city, the Fraser River and nearby mountains on your trip along this popular transit route. The train offers connections to everything from express buses to the local and regional ferry systems. Within 30 minutes of leaving the Civic, you’ll be in downtown Vancouver and ready to enjoy your event.

Once back at the Civic Hotel again, settle in for the night or head out for more good times, food and drinks, or a taste of Surrey nightlife. If you’re ready to pack it in for the day, then tuck into one of our deluxe beds. You won’t have to count as high as the thread count of our luxurious sheets before you fall into a deep, restful sleep. In the morning, head down to our lobby for a sumptuous buffet breakfast served in Dominion Bar + Kitchen.

If you’ve got some time left over, fill it with a local public art walk, a show at one of Surrey’s award-winning festivals, or grab a latte from Prado Café (located just off the lobby) and stroll through one of the city’s many farmers market. Then when it’s time to pack up and make the drive home, you’ll be able to avoid the traffic headaches that usually come with a stay in downtown Vancouver. Or why not hang around for another day and enjoy more of the sights, sounds and flavours of our culturally rich city.

Come for a weekend, come for a night, come and let us show you the easiest way to enjoy a night out.
